Spring Break

It was so nice to finally spend time together after a horribly long finals week! We took a trip to Cincinatti the first weekend. We had a lot of fun...we spent some time in Newport, KY which is across the river from Cincinatti, and then we went to Montgomery Inn for dinner Friday night. It was delicious! On our way home, we stopped at Hocking Hills and hiked to some waterfalls and to a bridge made out of rock. We had a lot of fun! Unfortunately, we also got hooked on Lost over the break and we spent the majority of our time watching Season 1 and Season 2. We can't seem to stop!

6. Let the fun begin

I had a hard time coming up with interesting things about me so here it goes (and I'll try to keep it short)
1. I absolutely hate being wet. It's the weirdest thing, and James always makes fun of me for it! Don't worry, I shower every day and I can handle going swimming and stuff, but I hate when clothes get wet and it touches my skin. If I'm doing dishes and the edge of my sleeve gets wet, I have to roll it up so it doesn't touch me. And if my clothes get any more wet than that, I have to go change. I'll even change if my wet hair gets a shirt wet around the collar.
2. I'm really good at spelling. James is constantly asking me how to spell words. I even won the spelling bee in 4th grade for my elementary school (I beat out the 5th graders). It's funny how it comes really easy to me, but James is a horrible speller!
3. My second toe is bigger than my big toe. This isn't really abnormal, except that my second toe is significantly bigger than my big toe. James calls it the aggressive vice president.
4. I love ice cream. I love ice cream piled with unhealthy candy and syrup and whip cream and everything. It's so bad, that James can't even watch me eat my loaded up ice cream without feeling sick!
5. I'm married to the biggest sports fanatic ever. I've watched more football games since I've met James than most normal people have in their entire lifetime. Our first date was actually watching the Utah/BYU football game, and we continued to watch football that entire Saturday! And of course, James wouldn't dream of missing Sports Center where he can see all the replays of all the games he watched that day! James is constantly quizzing me on players names, coaches, teams and their mascots, the rules of OT in football, etc. etc.
6. I love big dogs. I think dogs should be kept inside because they are part of the family! I grew up with German Shepherds that were kept inside, and we have a big family picture hanging up in our house with the dog included in the picture! (James makes fun of us for that.) He thinks dogs should be outside, especially the big ones! He's slowly caving though...

Baby News

18 weeks...Yes, I am starting to show now. It's starting to look more like a pregnant belly instead of just being in this "chubby" phase. I can feel the baby kicking and moving now. It's not very strong still, but I can definitely tell when it's the baby. My back has been really sore lately, but I think that's mostly because everyone that comes through our ER seems to way 300+ pounds and we have to move them onto our CT table ourselves. I think doing that every week for 12 hours a day and 3 days in a row would make anyone hurt.
Our "official" ultrasound is scheduled for March 14th to find out if it's a boy or girl for sure. We'll wait till then to make an official announcement. However, for now, I will say that I have been going through a pink phase. I've boughten some new shirts to fit my growing belly, and the majority of them are pink. Actually, they pretty much all look the same. Pretty stupid huh?

Since finals are coming up and James is studying 24/7, I made cards with Raquel and Sherri on Saturday night. It was a ton of fun. But I noticed as I was making them that I was using a lot of pink...nothing wrong with that though, we made some really cute cards. I can't wait to make some more. I keep thinking of new ideas to use!
A few weeks ago James and I went shopping at Old Navy and I found some really cute winter girl stuff on clearance so I bought a few things. I figured if it turns out to be a boy, I can either give the stuff to my sister who is having a girl in June or I can keep it until we have a girl. Either way, I couldn't pass up the good steals!
